Z.WORLD LEARNING WITH »SMILE« Trainees were able to experience the possibilities of tool presetting and measuring live at the PSDC training center (Penang Skills Development Center) in Malaysia by working with a »smile« equipped with tool inspection and »zidCode«. They also got a glimpse into the advantages of direct data transmission to the CNC machine – a Mazak machine was available to the students. TAIWAN IS “READY FOR 4.0” The seminar at Taiwan ZOLLER branch JIMMORE was very well received by the 188 attendees from 78 different companies. The entire process sequence was on display live, and was also shown on the walls on large monitors. From the CAM station with hyperMILL ® , the process continued to the ware- house and the »toolOrganizer« tool cabinet, then from there to the »venturion 450« presetting and measuring machine. Data transmission from the »pilot« measuring device soft- ware to the machine was demonstrated using the Heidenhain demo machine controller and »zidCode«.
