Of course, they’re not there for relaxation, but rather taking a tour through a highly modern manufacturing environment. They even have a tour guide, ToolMax, ZOLLER’s comic mascot. He is taking them through a virtual warehouse with networked production stations, showing them how everything works together – from the CAM system to the CNC machine. “This is a real experience” says one of the attendees, impressed, as he removed his VR goggles. “Connecting systems for intelligent production” – that was the motto of EMO 2017. In line with the motto, ZOLLER presented solutions for digital production processes. More than 10 innovations, 36 pre- setting, measuring, and inspection machines, and extensive tool man- agement software solutions were on hand to discover at the 4500 ft 2 ZOLLER stand. But that’s not all: Attendees were also invited to take an entertaining virtual tour through modern manufacturing, an option that generated great excitement at the stand. 76 Z.magazine 2018
