During this time, ZOLLER devices win the International Industrial Design Prize and the award “Die Besten der Besten” (Best of the Best) for their ergo- nomic design. Alongside his brother Alexander, Christoph Zoller works to modernize the company – they introduce a Kanban warehouse system in 1995, and DIN EN ISO 9001 certification follows in 1996. At the same time, Eberhard drives simple and intuitive op- erations for ZOLLER devices with ZOLLER image processing technology ZOLLER-AWV (au- tomatic tool measurement). 1998 The »toolManager« is launched on the market as the first stand-alone tool management solution in 1998 – including a graphic user interface and di- rect data transmission to the ZOLLER presetter. Christoph founds ZOLLER Inc. in the USA and ZOLLER Shanghai in China, helping to further interna- tionalize the company. In 2004, he and his brother join Eberhard in ZOLLER corporate management. 2008 Expansions of the product portfolio require more produc- tion space. Eberhard initiates the relocation of the head- quarters to Pleidelsheim in 2008. The new facility offers space for new developments like »genius 4«,» titan« or »hobCheck«. At the same time, Christoph works with his broth- er to further develop interna- tional markets in the USA, in China, and all over Asia. Net- working and software become more and more important over the decade. The Zoller family ensures customers can use the newest technologies to secure and expand their com- petitive advantage both now and in the future. 1978 The company headquarters are moved from Ludwigsburg to Freiburg am Neckar. The company mainly handles se- ries production, but also ma- nufactures special solutions. The first tool management software, “Tool Brain,” is pre- sented at the second EMO in Hanover. Eberhard played a key role in its development. ZOLLER adds more and more stakeholders and customers, who serve as creative and in- novative partners in new de- velopments.
