The decision to develop a new machine series was in
fluenced from a variety of directions. “The machines on
the market up to this point were always leading options
when it came to functionality and precision, but as the
market leader, of course we want to be right up front on
every current market and tool trend. At the same time,
with »smileCompact« for example, we have created a
device reduced to only the key functions. This makes it
ideal for workers getting started with professional tool
measurement. Many customers have requested this
kind of device. And we always treat customer wishes as
paramount.”
