WALTER, founded in 1963, is today one of the world’s leading metal processing companies.
With a large range of tools for milling, drilling, turning, and thread cutting, Walter is a fullservice
provider in the area of metal machining. A total of 310 machines manned by around 230 employees
produce solid carbide and HSS tools as well as tap drill blanks in the SoultzsousForêts location in
France. The location’s focus is on small tools and micro tools, including many specialized tools that
have high measuring requirements in production and quality assurance.
